Using Taxi Rank Guernsey is very simple, here's how it works.

1. Select the "Find a Taxi" option

The app will find your location using satellites - It will then use some clever logic to work out what road you're on and what parish you are in. If the app cannot find your location, please enter it manually.

Some of the fields are required, please follow the instructions.

The app will only locate taxis that have facilities that you require, for example if you need disability access, only cars that offer those facilities will display. If you request a 6 seater taxi, only those or greater will display. If no taxis are available, please try again or consider splitting your party into smaller groups.

Finally there is a large text box for 'Anything Else'. if you need to provide extra information, this is the place to do it.

For your convenience we have added some Points of Interest and Home options. These will automatically complete the destination fields for you.

2. Choose your driver

After completing the Find a Driver page and the Book a Taxi button has been tapped, the app will display a list of available taxi drivers. The list will show the closest driver at the top. Tap the driver that you wish to book and wait for their response. You will receive a message. If the driver can take the job they will let you know how long it will take to reach you. You will be able to follow the taxi's position on a map that updates itself.

If the selected driver cannot make it, you will return to the list of available drivers.
